Volco versus a trainer

After my battle with Bellsprout I pushed forward into Route 2. On my way there I see an old man peeing on a bush so I try to rob him. But out of nowhere his grandson comes out and tackles me. So I run and he follows. And I couldn't shake him so I nocked him out with a punch.

The grandson Challenges you to a Pokemon Battle!!!

Here are the rules to this battle as follows. Since you are battling a 'random trainer', It'll be kinda like a wild pokemon battle. You won't read the opponents move before it happens.

The battle rules are as follows. If you win, you get the pokemon he uses. If you lose, Goodbye Pokemon Egg and 500 yen.

Charmander sprung forward with claws shining. On the other hand, Cyndaquil ran forward at full tilt. The two pokemon collided and each slid backwards on their feet.

Charmander and Cyndaquil both used a leer! Cyndaquil however, sprung forward with an unexpected Tackle, hitting Charmander in the gut. Charmander winced in pain and did not reply to the attack.
